KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC)on Friday approved former Sindh Home Minister and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Rauf Siddiqui’s bail in the facilitation of provocative speech, a local news channel reported.
The case was registered against the former minister by Site Super Highway police and was accused of facilitating the MQM founder’s speech.
Siddiqui had filed a petition with the assistance of Sindh High Court (SHC) Advocate Shaukat Hayat. The court – after listening to both the sides’ arguments – granted a one-day bail to Siddiqui against surety bonds worth Rs 25,000.
