ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kuwait Ghulam Dastgir said on Friday that the embassy and the Kuwaiti authorities are providing all possible assistance to the Pakistani family affected by fire.
“We have offered condolences to the bereaved family over the loss of precious lives and we are standing by them in this need of hour,” he said while talking to a private news channel. He said that the embassy was in contact with the members of the victim family and was facilitating them in the preparation of documents to shift the dead bodies to Pakistan.
The ambassador said that they had visited the hospital where the injured members of the family were under treatment and enquired about their health. He also said that the condition of three out of four children was stable and they were being extended medical treatment. He called for an investigation into the tragic incident that cost precious lives.
Dastgir said that if any member of the victims’ family in Pakistan wants to travel to Kuwait, he would also be facilitated. “We have asked the Foreign Office in Pakistan to coordinate with the Kuwait Embassy in Islamabad in this regard,” he said.
