LAHORE: Police on Friday night conducted a search operation in various parts of the Old City and took into custody twenty-seven suspects.
According to details, police conducted a search operation in Lahore’s Model Town Divison, Mughalpura, Allama Iqbal Town, Railway Engine Shed, Cannt Division and Muslim Town areas. During the search operation, citizens were checked through the biometric system.
Upon finding incomplete identification documents of some persons, police took into custody more than twenty-seven people. Another search operation had also been conducted in Lahore on Thursday night. Police had closed the railway station partially on Thursday night owing to security concerns and conducted a search operation. All lights had been turned out and the entry, exit gates of the railway station were searched for any suspicious or untoward activity.
