ISLAMABAD: Thirty one year old Katrina, a Ukrainian national who was recovered from Mithi city, has reunited with her family after three long years in captivity.
According to media reports, her husband and one of her children met her in Karachi on Monday. They will accompany her to Islamabad where the rest of her family awaits. The Ukrainian national – allegedly kidnapped three years ago in Rawalpindi – was recovered by law-enforcement officials from the village of Katho, in the limits of the Khensar police station on Sunday.
Tharparkar district SSP Sarfaraz Nawaz Shaikh said that a joint team of police and Rangers raided the village and recovered Katrina with her suspected kidnapper Abdul Munaf Nohrio. The police reported that Katrina was kidnapped from Rawalpindi adding that there is a possibility that other people were involved in the kidnapping.
