KHAR: A grand jirga here on Saturday resolved a 14-year old feud between two rival groups of Salarzai tribe.
As many as eight people had lost their lives and three others sustained injuries in the old feud, official sources said.
The grand jirga that took place at Bat Malai area in Bajaur Agency Headquarters Khar was attended by elders of the area including Malik Hifzur Rehman, Malik Muhammad Yar Kasai, Malik Hazrat Noor and Assistant Political Agent, Khar, Muhammad Ali Khan.
Speaking on the occasion the tribal elders expressed their firm resolve to end all internal disputes among all tribes in the Salarzai tehsil.
They also warned the tribespeople of a Rs.10 million fine and confiscation of property and house if any of them violated the peace agreement.
