KARACHI: A special training is being provided to 71police personnel of District South Police at the headquarters of Special Security Unit (SSU), Sindh Police for ensuring better services to citizens as required according to the human rights.
The training is aimed to enhance professionalism despite stress/pressure during their duties, said a statement issued here on Thursday. Commandant SSU, Maqsood Ahmed has directed the instructors/trainers of Training Branch that the trainees should be imparted professional training on modern lines with particular reference to human rights so that personnel could offer better services to general public with politeness and play their effective role against terrorists.
The highly trained instructors are imparting comprehensive training about methods of snap checking, effective patrolling on mobiles and motorcycles, politeness with common men, discipline and awareness about human rights. Apart from this, the personnel are also being provided the modern techniques to counter terrorism and how to keep themselves safe during hostile situation, handling and use of weapons, snap checking, effective patrolling.
The personnel are also being provided training on modern lines to control the street crimes. Mock exercises were also conducted regarding effective crackdown against the street criminals and terrorists. The Psychologists of SSU are also playing their role in motivating the trainees with particular reference to improve their reformation, keep themselves stress free and duties’ responsibilities as well as to ensure better services to common men.
